MAY 31, 2000 Dr. Kham Vay Ung's passion is treating American Indians with diabetes. A Laotian immigrant, Dr. Ung has become a premier educator and advocate for proper diabetes care for Native Americans. Beginning with his work with the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, Dr. Ung has started more than 20 diabetes clinics across the country. He currently practices at the Nebraska Urban Indian Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. Get the Story:
