Program targets obesity in Indian youth

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded the Montana state health department a $318,000 grant to reduce obesity in Indian children. The state will use the money to kick off a three-year project on obesity. It will focus on helping Indian children in kindergarten through fifth grade get more exercise and eat more nutritious foods, said a state official. Get the Story:
