School professor touts 'shamanism'

FRIDAY, AUGUST 3, 2001 Just beat some drums and your drug addictions will go away, says Arizona State University anthropology professor Michael Winkelman. By using feathers, sage, dances and drums, Winkelman thinks ancient "shaman" techniques can help addicts shed their problems. He'll be presenting his treatment methods next month at a conference in Massachusetts. Get the Story:
