SEPTEMBER 18, 2000

Under a new program change that went into effect December of 1999, adult and rural diabetics in Oklahoma can receive Medicaid coverage for their supplies and equipment.

Adults in the fee-for-service Medicaid or the SoonerCare Choice program are eligible for coverage of one glucometer a year, one spring-loaded lancet device a year, three replacement batteries a year, 100 glucose test strips, and 100 lancets a month.
