Navajo contracting on agenda again

MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2002 They said it wasn't over and it's not. Efforts by the Navajo Nation to take over all health contracting costs continue. The issue will be considered a special session of the tribal council next month. The council voted against Indian Health Service contracting in January but a recall motion has revived the proposal. The group opposing the takeover, 638 Doo'Dah, says it doesn't trust the tribe to run its own affairs. Get the Story:
