Kava is promoted as a reliever of stress, anxiety and insomnia. But the FDA says anyone with liver problems should consult a doctor and to take note of symptoms associated with liver failure, such as jaundice, brown urine, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness or loss of appetite.
