U.N. passes sacred site resolution

The U.N. General Assembly on Thursday passed its first resolution calling on countries to protect sacred sites.

Each country should adopt measures to prevent acts or threats of violance against sacred sites, says the resolution. It also urges promoting tolerance and respect of sacred sites.
