Fugitives arrested on reservation

FEBRUARY 12, 2001 Two North Carolina men wanted in connection with the disappearance of a woman were arrested on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana last Tuesday. Martin Willard Pepion, 25, and his cousin, Robert Kristen Groenwold, 20, have been wanted for questioning in the disappearance of Carol McCoy, the mother of Pepion's two children. Pepion has relatives on the reservation and authorities had believed he might flee there. McCoy was last seen February 2. She is a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Tribe. Pepion has previously been charged with kidnap and assault of McCoy. Get the Story:
