The Eastern Pequot Tribe's attempt to force one of its foes to reveal how it is spending taxpayer dollars to fight federal recognition has been delayed.

The state of Connecticut's Freedom of Information Commission had planned to hold a freedom of information act hearing requested by Eastern Pequot Vice Chairman Mark Sebastian today. But North Stonington First Selectman Nicholas H. Mullane II had it postponed because he said he had other business to attend to.

Mullane has refused to turn over to Sebastian documents the town has prepared challenging the tribe's preliminary federal recognition.
