The Chairman of the Citizen Band of Potawatomis, John "Rocky" Barrett, is under attack by a non-native landowner for bidding on land that the Tribe also wanted to buy from the local conservation district. The disgruntled bidder claims that the Chairman was coaching the vice-Chairman, Linda Capps, who was also bidding on the same land on behalf of the tribe. Chairman Barrett denies all allegations of coaching. Source: Tribal leader's land purchase draws fire (The Daily Oklahoman 4/14)
