Dogs cause problems for Navajo Nation
Stray dogs have become a problem for the Navajo Nation. The tribe's Department of Game and Fish was managing the problem until budget cuts forced them to lay off staff members this past October. About 3,000 dog bites are reported per year. The Navajo Nation veterinary clinic says road kills and livestock killed by wild dogs have risen in the recent months.
