Tribal ID voting bill clears Minn. House

APRIL 25, 2001 The Minnesota House on Tuesday passed a bill allowing tribal members to use tribal identification cards for election day voting, but not before it was attached with a contentious amendment. The overall bill is supported by tribes. But an amendment requiring all citizens to show photo identification before voting narrowly passed the House. Get the Bill:
