MAY 31, 2000 The Connecticut towns of Ledyard, North Stonington, and Preston have asked their Congressional delegation for help in obtaining all the documents and files pertaining to the 1983 Mashantucket Pequot Settlement Act. They hope the documents can shed light on their battle against the expansion of the Mashantucket tribe. In recent correspondence with their Congressmen, the BIA, and the DOI, the towns frequently cite the claims made by author Jeff Benedict in Without Reservation. Get the Story:
