Cherokee want land

The Eastern Band of Cherokee are in talks with the National Parks Service to swap part of its North Carolina reservation with 150 acres of land in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The tribe wants to use the land and education complex serving students from kindergarten through high school.

The tribe's casino has led to economic growth on the reservation.
