Two indicted in death of Omaha man

FRIDAY, JULY 20, 2001 A federal grand jury in Nebraska on Wednesday indicted two in the beating death of Brandon Horn, a 21-year-old Omaha Nation tribal member. Angel Merrick, 20, and Kareem Lakota Robinson, 18, were charged with second-degree murder for the June 23 death. They are alleged, along with three juveniles, to have beaten Horn and dragged his body to a field north of Macy. Merrick is a tribal member and a female. It is not known at this time if Robinson is a tribal member. The group is alleged to have recorded the attack. The FBI will neither confirm nor deny the possesion of evidence of a recording.
