Shooting suspects arrested on reservation

WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, 2001 Two Navajo men wanted in connection with two robberies and shooting deaths turned themselves in to Navajo Nation authorities in New Mexico on Tuesday. Along with a fellow resident of the To'hajiilee Navajo Reservation, Deon Secatero and Lyle Apachito, both 18, are wanted for participating in two robberies on Monday that left two dead. Merle Ramone, 27, allegedly admitted to killing the two with a rifle because he was upset over the loss of his job and the repossession of his truck. Ramone faces charges of murder for his alleged involvement. Apachito faces armed robbery, aggravated assault and other crimes. while Secatero faces charges of murder, conspiracy, aggravated assault and other felony crimes. Get the Story:
