Navajo suspect held without bail

FRIDAY, JULY 27, 2001 A judge in New Mexico on Thursday ordered a Navajo man accused of murdering two persons during a robbery spree earlier this week held without bail. Merle Ramone, 27, faces first-degree murder charges along with two other suspects. All three are Navajo Nation tribal members and residents of the To'hajiilee Reservation in New Mexico. Lyle Apachito and Dion Secatero, both 18, had their bail set at $275,000 each. Get the Story:
