AG accuses tribe of foul play

JULY 6, 2000 Connecticut State Attorney General Mark Blumenthal responded to a press release issued by the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe, saying the tribe is using unethical tactics. The tribe, which is state recognized, sent out a press release on Wednesday saying Blumenthal is the one holding up land settlement claims. The tribe is waiting to hear on its petition for federal recognition. Get the Story:
