The Bureau of Indian Affairs will be holding a two-day technical assistance meeting this week to explain how it recognized two Pequot tribes in Connecticut.

The meeting is being held at the request of state officials. Even though it is being conducted over the phone, members of the public can listen to it at the offices of Attorney General Richard Blumenthal in Hartford.

The meeting will take place Tuesday and Wednesday.
