Campbell pleads guilty to shooting

AUGUST 16, 2000 Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo) pleaded guilty to shooting at at a dog near his property on the Southern Ute Reservation in Colorado. The tribal court has instituted a $250 fine and 10 hours of community service on the Northern Cheyenne Senator. He shot at the dogs in response to them attacking his dog, but did not hit them.
