The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut may get a new chairman or may not, depending on whom you believe.

Incumbent chairman Roland J. Harris is among nine tribal councilors who will choose a new chairman on October 2. But in the general election for the tribe, Mark Brown got the most votes and has allegedly formed an alliance with other councilors.

Brown said he isn't actively pursuing the chair.
