The Bureau of Indian Affairs has told the Seminole Tribe of Florida it illegally suspended chairman Jim Billie.

Billie was suspended by the council amid questions of his business deals. He filed a lawsuit to get his job back but subsequently dropped it.

The tribe has now sued Billie for an alleged stock fraud scheme.

The tribe is asking the BIA to reconsider its decision on the suspension.
