Time to work for Mueller

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2001 Although he was confirmed nearly a month ago, Robert S. Mueller III will be beginning his job as director of the FBI this week. Mueller was finishing up work at the US Attorneys office in San Francisco. He also had minor prostate surgery. Expectations are high for Mueller to clean up the FBI, under investigation by Congress and the Justice Department for a number of high-profile mishaps. Get the Story:
