McCaleb approves Crow constitution

MONDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2001

Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb on Friday approved a new consitution for the Crow Tribe of Montana.

The constitution has been the subject of much debate, including a temporary takeover of tribal headquarters last week, for which two persons have been arrested. Opponents of the constitution are going to fight the document in court.
