Fired Crow workers sue tribe

TUESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2002 A group of 55 former employees of the Crow Tribe have filed suit in federal court, seeking severance pay and damages for what they are calling wrongful termination. The employees were fired in July 2000 when the Bird in Ground administration took over. Tribal officials laid off a number of employees as part of the change but also due to budget problems.
