Conn. hopefuls oppose casino

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2001 All 15 candidates running for mayor of New London in Connecticut say they oppose their city hosting a casino. The Eastern Pequot Tribe had proposed to locate a casino there should it receive final federal recognition. But the tribe withdrew it after running into local opposition. Get the Story:
