Mohegan Tribe gives money to town

MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut last week completed an annual ritual by giving $500,000 to the town of Montville. When the tribe was federally recognized in 1994, it agreed to make the yearly payment. Flush with profits from the successful Mohegan Sun casino, the amount has remained the same over the years and no one complains. Get the Story:
