Tribe wants Cardinals stadium
OCTOBER 19, 2000

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation has proposed to be the new host of a $335 million stadium for the Arizona Cardinals.

The tribe has made its proposal to the Tourism and Sports Authority board. They say they can offer them a better location choice, a long-term lease, and quicker approval of permits and other infrastructure.

The tribe tried to get the Los Angeles Dodgers to build a spring training facility on its reservation last year but failed.
