Mohegan Tribe signs parking deal

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe is paying the state of Connecticut $15,000 a month to park up to 1,500 cars at a former hospital site. The agreement will last a year with the option of two one-year renewals. Should the state sell the site, it can terminate the lease. The tribe expects only to use the lot on weekends to shuttle patrons back and forth to its new arena, a part of a $1.1 billion casino expansion. Get the Story:
