First Native investment bank launched

The first full service Native American-owned investment bank became a reality when Native Nations Securities of New York purchased another banking firm.

Native Nations will now offer a variety of services such as corporate finance, venture capital, municipal finance, and asset management and trading. The firm was established by Valerie Red-Horse in February 1999 to serve Native Americans and tribes.
