Tribe sues state over gaming

NOVEMBER 22, 2000 The Northern Arapaho Tribe is suing the state of Wyoming for alleged failure to negotiate over gaming on the Wind River Reservation. The tribe says it has been trying to come to an agreement since at least 1995. The tribe wants to offer casino-style gaming because it says the state offers other types of gaming. The Wind River Reservation is shared by the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. The Shoshone have also expressed interest in gaming. Get the Story:
