Moratorium may hurt casino project

NOVEMBER 9, 2000 A developer working with the Lac du Flambeau Ojibwe of Wisconsin says a five-month moratorium on sewer lines could jeopardize the tribe's $120 million casino project. The Racine Wastewater Utility asked for the moratorium because it is near capacity. It also has to come to agreements with local communities about financing expansion of the system. Get the Story:
