Casinos linked to drunk driving

DECEMBER 11, 2000 As of November 1 of this year, Connecticut state police have seen a 22 percent increase in drunk driving arrests near the two tribal casinos in the southeastern part of the state. State police also have responded to 17 fatal accidents, a majority of which they say are alcohol-related. Beginning in January, they will begin comprehensive tracking of drunk driving arrests to confirm their link to the casinos. Get the Story:
