Tribe changes casino plans

FEBRUARY 1, 2001 Dee Ketchum, Chairman of the Delaware Tribe of Oklahoma, on Wednesday said the tribe has dropped its plans to build a casino in one Kansas County but is still considering other locations in the state. The tribe's proposal to build a casino in Douglas County was met with local resistance. Now, Ketchum says the tribe is looking at a location in Leavenworth County as well as other undisclosed locations. Get the Story:
