The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has launched an internal review of its $1.1 billion casino expansion to see if any inappropriate activities have occurred.

According to The New London Day, the review has included interviews of tribal members and businesses they own. Their connections to the project and how they benefit are reportedly being investigated, says the paper.

Tribal officials says it is premature and unethical to talk about the review.
