Senior citizens were among those who rushed through the entrance of the new smoke-free slot machine room at the Mohegan Sun casino on Wednesday.

The room, dubbed the "Hall of the Lost Tribes," has 637 slot machines. The New London Day reports that within minutes, all but one were in play. The paper called it a "storm."

Tribal historian Melissa Jayne Fawcett was on hand to dedicate the hall, which honors 13 Connecticut tribes. But eager slot machine players told her to hurry up and stop talking so they could start spending their money.
