Kan. tribe donates to tornado effort

APRIL 25, 2001 The Prairie Band of Potawatomi Nation on Monday decided to give $50,000 to the Red Cross for tornado relief efforts in Kansas. Hoisington was struck over the weekend by a tornado. The tribe immediately offered support in the form of equipment but were told those needs were already met. So the tribe decided instead to donate to the Red Cross. The tribe gets much of its revenue from its casino. Get the Story:
