MAY 11, 2001

Plans of the Torres Martinez Band of Desert Cahuilla Tribe to open two casinos might be on the rocks, as its gaming partner's stock price crashes and seeks to find new investment buddies.

In a report to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Full House Resorts Inc. says it needs more partners in order to move forward with its projects, including the Cahuilla casinos. Since the report was issued in early April, the stock price has fallen to less than $1.

Tribal chairwoman Mary Belardo says she was unaware of the company's financial woes. But the company says it has an investor on the horizon.
