Navajo council fails to overturn gaming veto

The Navajo Nation council on Tuesday failed twice to overturn a veto on gaming on Tohajiilee Chapter lands in New Mexico.

The council needed 59 votes to overturn President Kelsey Begaye's veto. On two occasions, 52 and then 51 councilors voted to override the veto.
