Vegas changes mind on Internet ban

MAY 17, 2001 After supporting a bill to ban Internet betting last year, most big Las Vegas casinos are now making forays into the online market. Senator Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) introduced the bill which passed the Senate but failed the House. But now he says there may not be enough support this time around to pass it. That would mean good news for tribes who opposed the bill. It would also, however, mean competition for any tribe engaged in or interested in online betting. Get the Story:
