Ariz. compact talks to start

New rounds of negotiations between the state of Arizona and 17 tribes will be meeting for two days beginning today to discuss gaming compacts.

The major issue is how much the state will take from the casinos. The previous compacts give no share and the state is now seeking 7 percent of the profits.
