Tribe's casino has new slot machines

MAY 4, 2001 Gaming analysts and casino executives will be paying close attention to the success of new slot machines launched by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation at its casino in Connecticut on Thursday. Instead of paying out coins, which some consider unclean and cumberson, the machines pay out vouchers. The vouchers can be used at other machines for up to 30 days or paid out. There are 400 machines at the tribe's casino, said the first East Coast slot room with the EZ Pay technology. Get the Story:
