JUNE 25, 2001 Chile farmers in New Mexico harvested 19,000 acres last year, a 16 percent increase from the previous. The crop was worth $48.9 million, a 54 percent increase from 1999. The increase is attributed to cooperative weather and research into chile growing. Get the Story:
