The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut on Thursday offered a preview of its new still under-construction Casino of the Sky, which is set to open October 1.

The casino includes a 10,000-seat arena, more slot machines, smokeless areas, and retail spaces. A convention center and hotel are also in the works, set to open in Spring 2001.

The expansion is costing the tribe $1 billion.
