Santa Ana Pueblo in New Mexico broke ground on a seven-story, 288-room hotel addition to its Star Casino this week.

The new addition will include three restaurants, a bowling center, a 3,000-seat arena, a meeting space, a covered parking garagae, and a new bingo hall. It is expected to start opening in phases beginning fall 2001.

The Pueblo will also open another hotel in January 2001 and a golf course in spring 2001.
