Senator opposes Indian casino in NYC

SEPTEMBER 11, 2000 Hoping to register his opposition as early as possible, Senator Charles Schumer of New York wrote the Bureau of Indian Affairs, telling them to reject any proposal made by Donald Trump to open a casino with a tribe in New York City. Trump said he would try to partner with a tribe to open a casino on property he owns there if another casino in the Catskills is approved. Get the Story:
