TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida has been in talks with the Florida Marlins and a local county for a new baseball stadium for the team.

The tribe has some undeveloped land that could be used for the stadium. The advantage would be less regulatory hurdles and no taxpayer dollars would be required for the $500 million stadium.
