THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2001 "I am neither a fan of casinos nor Madison Avenue trash, but I can't help noticing the huge difference between “gaming” advertising and casino reality. On TV we see beautiful, dashing, young people, full of life, having a wonderful time. What you see in the casinos are (generally) poor, old, lifeless and haggard people, eyes glazed over as they pump their tokens in, convinced that the next one is The Big Winner. . ." Get the Story:
