The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined the general contractor working on a casino expansion in Connecticut for the death of a worker.

Perini must pay a $7,000 fine due to a faulty elevator from which John Horn fell and plunged to his death on September 24, said OSHA. However, OSHA and the company plan to meet to discuss the issue.

Perini has been in charge of the Mohegan Tribe's $1 billion casino expansion.
