New Mexico Attorney General Patricia Madrid isn't worried about a lawsuit filed to invalidate compacts she signed with 11 tribes.

State Rep. George Buffett, a Republican from Albuquerque, has asked the New Mexico Supreme Court to do just that. He contends the compacts were negotiated illegally.

Madrid said she is confident the agreements, which cap the revenue sharing rate at the tribe's casinos to 8 percent instead of the prior 16 percent, will withstand the challenge.
